Yolks
These are a couple of pages from a comic a friend
and I began in 1995 called "Yolks".
At some point during its creation, my talented friend,
Dave, descended into madness.
He began to hear voices and see things
that were not there.
Not long after, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia.
For a while he manged to do alright in social
situations, but it wasn't long before
it was impossible for him to interact with others.
He stopped doing any art,
threw away all of his earthly possesions,
and tried to burn his mom's garage down.
Thankfully I was still in possession
of all of the pages he hd pencilled of Yolks,
as well as tons of Dave's sketches.
As you can see from the un-inked pages,
Dave didn't leave me much to do.
It was more like "tracing with ink".
Believe me, I didn't mind a bit.
I was just happy to be working
with such a talented artist.
Dave really was crazy talented, pun intended!
It would be nice if these could get finished
some day, but I don't think I have it in me.
